I bought this laptop at the end of November 2008, and by March 2010 it was dead. Power management was an issue from the off, it persistently cut out, and the software for managing wireless connections was poor. Support under the warranty was ok, but looked at resolving symptoms rather than the underlying problems. Outside of warranty, support was slow and unhelpful: After it died for good, Acer wanted £54 to assess the computer, with no facility to estimate costs or timescales. Generally, the performance when it was working was pretty good, the graphics card was excellent, although the CPU struggled when I ran ProTools music software on it. But the computers are put together cheaply and when something goes wrong, repairs are too expensive to justify. Disappointed, I won't be buying an Acer again.
